We recently shared the list of the top 10 Job Search & Job Seeker iPhone Apps.  A couple of months later (yesterday) Apple announced another milestone, with 3 billion downloaded Apps.  That’s an increase of a billion in 3 months.

While Mobile Recruiting is evolving for both Candidates and Recruiters, it is about a lot more than just Apps.   IF you’re not yet paying attention to mobile recruiting or are still skeptical, how’s this for a business case: Mobile to become leading access point for connecting to the internet by 2020.

Over 2 billion apps downloaded on the App Store and counting…

And as you can probably guess, yeah, there’s and app for that (anything you can imagine related to a job search including, researching companies, developing or beaming your Resume, prepping for an interview, searching for jobs, and career counseling).

Don’t waste your time or money more than you need to.  After testing and researching most of the apps available in this space, I have identified the 10 best (and most helpful) job seeker apps and job seeker tools as of 11/1/09.

If you are considering a job search app, I would recommend reading the reviews for both JobCompass and CareerBuilder, they say it all.  You’ll quickly notice on your own which one to go with.

After conducting 3 test searches using both apps on my iPhone, here are some additional observations to consider:
